The Internet gave to me
Oh boy, did this post ever buck the trend. It went viral!
Okay, that’s viral by my meager standards, which isn’t exactly a high bar. But it’s still noteworthy.
I tried to be provocative with this post and assumed the audience on my LinkedIn feed could potentially become engaged (enraged?), if only due to the unflattering title. And I was right! Just more than I expected to be.
It didn’t put me in the global spotlight, but for a few weeks this post received lots of traffic and, more importantly, interaction. Not all of it was supportive, but much of it was.
To be honest, I wasn’t ready for this much attention. I’m what you would call anti-confrontation. I can only imagine how panicked I would get were a post of mine ever to go truly, capital ‘V’, viral. Yikes!
Anyway, I’ve come to grips with this modest kerfuffle I initiated. A few more views, perhaps a like or share, wouldn’t do any more damage to my fragile psyche. So please do click here to have a read. The message remains important, imho.
